In this episode Tina and I cover self judgment, awareness, shamanism, spirit guides, genealogy, gratitude, and tips and tricks for being present. Tina did not write her book for parents of children with special needs but I gleamed so many nuggets of information that I thought it was important to share. I hope you enjoy.
"Losing a little of ourselves happens over time, like erosion. It is time for all of us to reclaim ourselves, learn more about ourselves, and grow into the whole person we love…"
Tina Moody
The Spiritual Awakening of an Analytical Mind.
Tina Moody published her first book, The Spiritual Awakening of an Analytical Mind, in the fall of 2021 after becoming a single parent at forty-four and embarking on an unexpected journey of self-healing, self-discovery, and self-transformation.
Tina speaks openly about her spiritual awakening and how healing was the 1st step and, in her eyes, the most important. She had to stop being a victim and step into her power.
Judgment of self and the perceived judgment from others is where we begin our conversation. Can increasing your awareness of that judgmental inner voice help make you a better parent? Can increasing your awareness help make you a better person?
Per usual, we get into the magic of children. We dive into Shamanism and how Tina’s son experienced his spirit guide very early on in his life. Jen and Tina agree that the conversation must start with children.
Did you know that researching your genealogy can help you be a better parent? What? Tina walks us through her process of using the women of her past to heal her present self and those of her children’s future.
Finally, we discuss how gratitude can increase your ability to be present in your life and with your child.
There’s a lot in this episode in a short period of time. So, enjoy! And, as always, let us know what you think.
